Blanchard is responsible for covering non-public market activity, including direct property, direct infrastructure, private equity and public-private partnerships at ACC. He previously spent 16 years at First NZ Capital, with responsibility for utilities, government and property coverage, and six years at the New Zealand Treasury. He is deputy chairman of the New Zealand Takeovers Panel, director of Kiwi Group Holdings and a former trustee of the New Zealand Hockey Foundation. Blanchard has earned a master’s degree in commerce from the University of Canterbury. He is a chartered accountant.
